Change to 8.1 Pro?

Go to solution Solved by yNeolh,

For example, I need W8.1 Pro because of Virtualization... Its... easier in Pro, but for other than that... Normal versión should be fine for most of the people... If you just game, internet browse, and office... then Just don't do it, it's a waste.

Home should be fine ;)

But if you really want to pay the extra for just some features go for it

there is no home. only 8.1 or 8.1 pro.

But YES. Just 8.1 is good enough no need for the pro.

Oh thank you :D I don't use that kind of stuff (I have Virtualization disabled in BIOS, sometimes it caused weird stuff) I only game and do homeworl stuff

I mean Windows 10 Home :D As far as I know the normal 8.1 (Core) gets Windows 10 Home, and the Pro, gets Win10 Pro. But yeah, I will keep my 8.1 Core, thank you :D

Home should be fine ;)

Most of the features are Virtualization and advanced office stuff right?

Windows 10 Pro won't let you choose updates.

You can only delay the set of update received by a few days.

You can't even hide updates. If you think it sucks, vote:

Spread the word as well.

Thanks for the info, for sharing your opinion and the uservoice link, but I don't think i'm against that. It's a nice feature that Microsoft is finally forcing updates on Windows.

Look at Steam, Xbox Live, PSN and that lind of services, they force you to update. That ensures that every user has the last edition, and it will reduce the number of Average Joes sending their PC "to repair", just because the lack of updates.

I am not against this. All I want is the ability to hide AT LEAST driver updates. That means if I don't do anything, the latest non-beta drivers will be forced installed. But say I have a problem, I install specific drivers (previous release or beta), check for update after, see that the drivers that caused me problems, I can hide it. If you used that feature, you know that it only hides the specific version under previous versions of Windows. So, if I hide Nvidia drivers, next update of Nvidia drivers delivered through Windows Update, it will appear again.
