So for starters, my computer is a dual boot system with both W7, and W8.1. So today we tried switching cases and we got everything working, but for some reason windows 7 boots perfectly and windows 8.1 will get caught in an infinite boot cycle. All files are still accessible through windows 7 so the drive isnt completely corrupt. Anybody have any idea what might be going on?

Download the ISO or use an install disc and fix the boot manager http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/32523/how-to-manually-repair-windows-7-boot-loader-problems/

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Okay i need to make one correction and i will edit the post, it is not windows 8 but windows 8.1

That boot manager thing will still work with any version of Windows, Vista up. You can even use any installer of those OSes to do what I mentioned.
