Nevermind, it just randomly started working.

Hey, I have this issue everytime I try to buy a steam game:

 

"There seems to have been an error initializing or updating your transaction. Please wait a minute and try again or contact support for assistance."

 

The thing is, support takes 3 weeks and the game I want is on sale right now. I've tried some of the things suggested online and none of them worked. Does anybody have any solutions that worked for them to share?

I get an error when I try to play the summer sale game, could be related... try again in a couple of hours they're probably just having backend issues.
