I hated the old case. Just picked up this Corsair Air 540 and still have a lot to do but need some advice

I have yet to tidy up cables...

1. Im thinking of rewiring the lights so I can put the converter box in the back of the case. Covering all wires with shrink wrap.

2. I was trying to find some king of cover for hard drives. I was almost thinking a mirror....   SSD will be going in the back of case when I get another hard drive soon

3. green board on PCI ribbon cable I was thinking large shrink wrap

4. PCI 6 pin power really annoys me. Not sure what to do with that. That loop just looks terrible.

5. Loop for liquid cooler just hangs way too low. Has anyone ever cut them down? I was going to cut them to length and refill it with _____ via a Tee and cap installed inline

Again, these are only my first thoughts and open to any advice.

As Codymm03 said the plasti-dip and acrylic cover for the lower section will work well.

For you PCI-E cables you can replace them with individual cable or use sleeved extension to have a cleaner look. For the water cooling loop I don't suggest cutting it and refitting it, It's best to have it so the rear tubing has an extra bend near the top of the rad to take out some length to get it somewhat even.

Also great side mounted GPU mod. ;)

Q's 1 + 2:

If you want a VERY reflective finish, buy a clear sheet of acrylic and paint the bottom side.
I did an acrylic cover on my case and it's awesome. Check it out in my sig! ;D

If you do do this acrylic cover though, it will block the light coming from the bottom in which case I recommend velcroing the light to the right front side of the case.

Alternatively, an LED strip will solve many problems.

3. Unsure... you might consider plastidip. I know one user painted a network card (I think) with some kind of non-plastidip paint and had AMAZING results.

4. You could try to bend the loop behind the card and/or toward the other length of the cable and then ziptie it. Two cables would look... more symmetrical if you can. You MAY be able to buy two extensions and then make it LOOK like you have two cables. Make sense?

I think you would eliminate the most awkward looking-ness if you just had the cable come up from the bottom of the case (like between the hard drives, but pressed toward the motherboard with a cutout in the theoretical acrylic) and not through a grommet.

5. I would not recommend opening up an AIO. You might be able to use something like fishing line and make a loop around one of the grommets on the motherboard tray and around the loops and pull them a bit closer... Maybe something black and stretchy would work better (like a rubber band).

Simply turned rad around to solve tubing problem :P.  Acrylic is great idea. I was looking at cutting a hard drive enclosure in half to cover each drive too. Might have to flip a coin...

Thanks. I was a bit nervous to cut up a brand new case but looks better than I thought. Just ordered black/blue extensions for all power cables.
