I will be moving into a new town house within a month or so and my friend and I would need to have our PC's in the basement (for noise purposes). The down side to this is that the basement has no coaxial ports installed and I'm pretty sure we'd need to go wireless.

I have a Netgear R7000 Nighthawk router that supports AC1900 (http://www.netgear.com/home/products/networking/wifi-routers/R7000.aspx#tab-techspecs). Both of us are avid gamers and watch large amounts of video content (youtube/twitch/etc). We'll have about 60 down and 5 up for internet speeds.

Does anyone have any recommendations on wireless NICs, etc.

Uhm, your ISP speed is irrelevant. Your WAN speed is more important. Saturating the ISP connection, shouldn't really influence your WAN speed.

Wasn't entirely sure on what all info I needed to provide so I just tossed it in. mostly just need a decent/good NIC to get.

Or he can buy a router that supports being a bridge out of the box? Youtube and Twitch dont really consume huge amounts of bandwidth, they are just constantly eating up bandwidth. So getting wifi cards that have good reviews with good antennas will full-fill yalls needs. I would suggest getting cards that atleast support the ac standard also.
