I have a Galaxy SL gt-i9003 laying around.. the only problem it has is that it's stuck at around 10% brightness and can't be increased or decreased.. And curently running CyanogenMod..

 

What can I use it for..?

flash a new ROM and see if that fixes the brightness issue.

I tried to get it repaired at a nearby place, and it turned out to be some hardware issue.. They told me that the IC needs to be replaced..

hmm. interesting. when you boot into recovery mode, is it still just as dim?
