my friend just gave me his spare 690. I was using a 750 ti before and just now swapped it out. I ran a benchmark using arkham city. the frame average was 57 fps no vsync... same as when i had my 750 ti in there... i downloaded the 690 drivers but still nothing... It is a dual GPU so i think it has something to do with that... please help, i really want this beast to work for me...

do you have to have SLI enabled for that or is it just kinda on by default?

that's the thing... i don't know and i don't know how to set one up

SLI doesn't enable by default. Go into NVIDIA Control Panel>Configure SLI, Surround, PhysX>enable SLI.

Post a screenshot of the NVIDIA Control Panel and your hardware specs.

as someone already said, im pretty sure it is in nvidia control panel somewhere.
