So i have a i5 4690k

i was able to get to 4.4ghz with 1.23 vcore

and yes i had the voltage set to manual

i enabled xmp but left the other voltages at auto like vccin, cache

i didn't up the cache

I did stress test with aida64 for 8 hours and it didnt crash,i was able to run rog realbench without any problem

but after using the pc for like 2 hours after the stress test,i ran rog realbench again and it got BSOD,

1.why did it happen?

2.is my chip bad or good as it got 4.4ghz at 1.23?

TIA

Incompatibility of parts? I had and old PC who went through all the stress tests great, though after some real world use, it kept locking up because the RAM was running too fast for the CPU.

And if your 4.4Ghz overclock is great? I would say it is pretty reasonable. Silicone lottery strikes again :P

Aftermarket Cooler + More Voltage = Fix?

Try 0.02 more voltage... so 1.25v.

Or try backing down your Overclock to 4.3ghz.
