Triple crossfire problems

i recently just joined this group and finished my mega build. My rig is more than capable with a 1300 watt EVGA G2 but will not for the likes of me, enable the third identical XFX R9-290 DD. I've tired every trick in the book. It is recognized but just sits at idle temps. The fan and lights are on but it will not respond to benchmarks,kombustor, or fur mark. I have no idea. Like I said tried everything. Board is 990fx Asus CVF.

does it work on its own?
