Starter Data Server - Board and Processor

Hi, I'm planning on a starter server and I just found out the motherboard will only work with the processor i'm planning on buying with a BIOS update. So I could take it to a ghetto computer shop and have them throw in a native/default supported processor that would work to update the BIOS and get the processor I want in the system. But I have trust issues with that kind of stuff and they charge a ridiculous fee just for something that simple. So should I change plans and go for something else that would work without the ghetto idea? (If information needed/wondering - the board i was/am planning on using was/is an asus h81m-k and a pentium g3258)

right, that's only for certain motherboards though

yes and nope, it works on all asus boards though so that won't be an issue. also chances are great that it will just work out of the box.
