It looks good. I do have a couple of points:

1. The NH-D15 is a pretty large cooler, so I'd make sure it fits in your case, on the subject of cases...

2. I don't hear great things about Zalman. Something like a Fractal Design Define R5/S might be a good alternative, but I'm not sure of the compatibility of that case with that air cooler, so don't take my word for it.

3. The Gigabyte GTX 970 is a behemoth of a card. Make sure this also fits in your case, as hard drive cages may prove obstructive.

4. I also don't hear great things about the Corsair power supplies, look up reviews for power supplies on JonnyGuru. I've read that the EVGA 750 G2 is an excellent power supply.

5. The monitor seems nice and all, but this rig is WAY too powerful for 1080p @ 60fps. I'd recommend a 1440p 60Hz panel instead (I run a 4690K with a GTX 970 and have excellent performance at 1440p), or a 1080p 144Hz panel if you're a competitive gamer.

GTV , The Witcher 3, BattleField, etc....

I'd go with 1440p, though. If you're feeling adamant about running a 1080p 60Hz panel, the rig your planning is a bit overkill. You might as well save your money.

6. This is more of a personal thing, but I find optical disk drives a bit redundant these days. If you have a lot of optical media, then it's a good idea. But if you don't, it's kind of a waste of money.

Other than that, it looks like an excellent build.  :)

Thank you for your input. Do you have a recommended monitor? I will have a look for a new case and power supplie.

I recently bought the BenQ GW2765HT, which is a gorgeous 1440p IPS panel. I can't recommend that enough. Some people complain of the low response times of IPS panels, but honestly, I don't see it. It could be due to my PC gaming inexperience (relatively short at approximately 4 months). Furthermore, if you're worried about running games at 1440p with your setup, don't be. I also have a 4690K and a GTX 970, both at stock clock, and I run 1440p like a motherf****** dream.

EDIT: This is also including demanding games like GTA V, of which I run with the settings cranked at 60 fps consistently, and Crysis 3, which I run cranked at 50 fps consistently.

Hey Guys,

I've just noticed the 'working'. What type of work is this?

If it is editing and rendering, you may find more value in an i7-4790K. However, if it's more skill based and not related to computation/content creation, an i5 would be a mighty fine choice.

The RM 750 isn't a great choice. For the same price, get EVGA G2. It is FAR better made internally,  has a SWITCH for Eco mode, it is not just stuck on. It is overall better quality, and also has 10 year warranty. It is also cheaper - considerably.

If the 1440p monitors are super expensive, it might not be a bad idea to downgrade some of your parts to save some money.

At 1080p, a GTX 970 is way overkill. You could argue that it will last longer as games get more demanding, but then you haven't really seen an immediate return on your investment. I'd recommend a GTX 960 or R9 280X instead.

Don't get the RM, despite many not having problems, many do.

970 is perfect for 1080p, 960 won't Max everything out

read a lot of reviews that ppl are having problems with it, the EVGA G2 has very good review on it.

3.5G won't be an issue for 1080, no.

G2 is better in every way.
