Wrong Resolution

Go to solution Solved by GoodBytes,

The problem is simple. It is not a problem.

Windows 8 look at your screen size (something it can now do), and resolution, and compare and pre-set the DPI for you.

If you have eagle eyes, or your are on a TV, and want to use as a monitor, then you need to slide the DPI setting back to 100%.

Once you do, hit the Apply button, and restart your system (or sign out and back in) for actually applying it (else it just does a simulation of 100% and everything will be blurry). And voila!

To find the option:

-> Right-click on your desktop, select "Display Settings", then click on "Make text bigger or smaller" link at the bottom of the panel, and you'll have the slider, or radio box selection. Pick 100%, Apply and as mention restart your system.

Hello,

I have installed GPU Drivers, Mobo Drivers on Windows 8.1

Resolution is 1080i but the text and everything coming is not relatively 1080i because I have experience with my Windows 7 and the text and images coming over this resolution is smaller as compared to what I am getting here.

Take a look here.

Please tell me the solution.

I'm working on a Samsung LED TV Full HD.

Int most cases, TVs aren't full 1080P, just 1080i.

Most likely just the TV, looks fine to me.

I had the same problem once and the solution to make it look better was to use VGA.

I am using HDMI. I guess it's better then VGA.

I'd assume it has something to do with digital/analog signals but VGA looked better. I'd try it if i was you.
