I'm thinking of getting Skyrim: Legendary Edition, and was wondering if mod support is any better for the steam version, or the DVD ROM physical version, (which comes with some cool exclusives). Also, I'm going to mod it and was wondering how much it impacts on performance? (I have a GTX 780, so I'll be fine)

CPU: 5930K @ 4.5GHz | GPU: Zotac GTX 980Ti AMP! Extreme edition @ 1503MHz/7400MHz | RAM: 16GB Corsair Dom Plat @ 2667MHz CAS 13 | Motherboard: Asus X99 Sabertooth | Boot Drive: 400GB Intel 750 Series NVMe SSD | PSU: Corsair HX1000i | Monitor: Dell U2713HM 1440p monitor

IMO Steam versions are better because of the ease of the workshop. Also, the physical version comes with a Steam code for the game. I currently have 67 mods and I average 45 FPS (specs in sig). You'll be fine but it depends what kind of mods you want, some have no effect on performance at all.

Oh, damn I'll definitely be okay. I'll get the physical version then, and use the steam code. (I like my exclusives, I have a mini fridge full of Nuka Cola and Sunset Sarsparilla)

would it even be worth graphic moding with a 2.7ghz dualcore and 6670?

It's only on high too btw.

I would just download the high res texture packs from the steam store and leave it at that and see if you get acceptable framerates.
