FPGAs and bitcoin?

Hey guys! So I have been considering buying an fpga, not specifically for btc, but to learn fpga's and (hopefully) design a SIMPLE cpu (eventually). However, I just started wondering, could I mine with it? How many CLB's or LE's or whatever you want to call them, are needed? The one I'm looking at (http://www.terasic.com.tw/cgi-bin/page/archive.pl?Language=English&CategoryNo=139&No=593) has like 22k... is it easy enough to set up? If so, I may as well see what it's hashrate is. Or, is it not all about the number of clb's?

Okay, whenever I get the fpga, this: http://www.designspark.com/blog/bitcoin-mining-with-a-raspberry-pi-and-de0-nano
