I was talking about the motherboard :)

The motherboard doesn't affect performance unless you have old pci-e slots with a powerful multi-gpu setup or you're trying to overclock with liquid nitrogen and the vrms are bad. ie: Most of the time, the motherboard is irrelevant to peformance.

That cpu will be fine even with a 770 sli.
