get a single 980ti it has more vRam and won't suffer in games that have crossfire issues.

A single GPU is slightly faster on the 295x2, hence it is called the 295x2 and not the 290x2. Not sure about the naming, but it is the case with the speed

 

What monitor, resolution will you be running?
