Does running 2 monitors require more from your GPU ?

 

In short: I just want to know if I get less FPS in-game if I have 1 game monitor & 1 browse/internet monitor over having just 1 monitor.

I can help you out.  I run a 27" 1080p and a 28" 1920x1200 and I have a 270x.  My card usually idles around 35C with one monitor and reaches about 72C while gaming.  If I use two monitors, my card idles 42-44C and maxes out at 74-76C while gaming.  I don't get less fps from running two, but it does require more gpu power to handle that many pixels.
