I play my xbox with my ad700 with the audio setup you outlined from my soundcard. another plus is if you have a 5.1 or 7.1 speaker setup you can plug your headphone in the front left right jack and take soundwhoring to a new level.

Plug your headphones into the Left/Right speaker channel, and use the speakers at the same time is what I think he means by "sound whoring."

Will work for electronic components and parts

What is the best internal sound card in the 50-75 dollar range?

If you already have an Astro Mixamp, use that.

bah, can't figure out double quoting.

I'd try onboard first, then fiio e10, but if it HAS to be internal, asus dg(x) but I don't think it has optical input.

When you press "Quote" it puts the quote where your cursor is in the quick reply text area at the bottom of the thread page. Press "MultiQuote" and you have to go to the "More Reply Options" page.

yeah I have a 5.1 as well so plugging the headphone into the front left right and shifting the speaker front left right to a side left right and the rear to the full rears and cranking the bass on the subwoofer.

at first I did it for lolz but it is seriously next level soundwhoring

I've thought about doing that, but don't want to annoy others, and I can't tell what would mess the sound up, the HE-500 or the HD770 speakers

Looked up those speakers on google for the first time, they look sick as hell.

Sooo, what is the best card for that price?

Didn't you say you already have an astro mixamp? Just use that or on-board.

Hand-me-down audio equipment is probably the best hand-me-down category.

Time to visit some estate sales...
