Hello beautiful community of LTT, I currently am trying to record some clips with Dxtory. I am using the lagarith loseless codec and am trying to record CSGO. I get 350+ FPS in game, and have a GTX 780 + i7 4770k. However, whenever I record, the file fps is only 20-30. Does anyone know why this happens? I know sometimes it's an issue with drive write speed, but I'm pretty sure my drive speeds are well above the minimum.

Could be because that is what it is set to record at. I don't know how to use dxtory, but based on how OBS acts, that is how I will assume your software is behaving as well.

and use this codec: http://www.dayzrp.com/t-how-to-record-with-dxtory-with-the-x264-codec

and I by what I am reading, the lossless is for really high quality, and high storage as well. so maybe your being limited by what your CPU can do, or that the program is working itself too hard over 1080p.

CPU: Pentium G3258 @ 3.2GHz || GPU:(first release,used) MSI R9 270 OC || Motherboard:MSI Z97-G45 Gaming Motherboard || RAM: 8 GB G.Skill Sniper 1600 || Monitors: Vizio 22 in Ultra slim 1080p TV || Storage: Seagate barracuda 160 GB 7200RPM,(REFURB) 1TB toshiba 7200RPM || PSU: (stripped from 2013 CAD PC)Corsair CX600 build was under $420

Thank you for the insightful post, will do some problem solving. Do you think Directx version could have something to do with it? It's currently running on DX9 according to Dxtory
