Format new SSD?

Hey,

So I am installing windows and it needs to know what I want to do with the drive. It is brand new. So I need to format the primary partition correct? Then do I leave the system reserved partition alone?

Yep, leave it alone.

When you click "new" in Windows setup, it will create two partitions, system reserved and a large one. Select the large one and click next to continue with install.

 

Yep, leave it alone.

Thank you both, I figured it out last night. It also did nothing when I clicked format ( I was assuming I would get a choice of NFTS or FAT32), I guess because the drive was empty.
