Nope Nope Nope! It will not run. Only bootcamp will allow for programs that are made for windows to actually run and run well. Parallels is good for testing but has awful, acceleration, driver support, and is no where near as powerful as your actual computer.

starts up, and when loading the game it crashes not only the game but all of parallels 

Maybe Parallels doesn't offer the hardware features or acceleration needed.
