So. I´m currently using windows 8.1 pro and I got windows 10 reserved and I wanted to know what version I´ll get. I haven´t really been keeping up with windows 10 news. Will I get some kind of "pro" version of windows 10 or is everyone getting a free standart version or do you have to drop some cash for a better version

You don't get anything, because when you have 8.1 Enterprise you have a Volume Licence. And when you have a VL, you'll also hav Software Assurance, probably. And SA always gives you the latest version, so Enterprise is excluded because they would get it anyway.

I'm 99% sure uou pirated it. VL agreements are only for enterprises, hence the name of the edition.

Correct. Enterprise versions of Windows 7 and 8.1 are excluded from the free upgrade. Only consumer versions of Windows 7 and 8.1 qualify.

The upgrade is only for people who have a genuine licence of Windows 7 or 8.1. We don't know how MS will check that it's genuine (WGA was removed in Windows 8), but pirtaes who modify system files will definitely not get it.

I once wanted media center on my pc so i googled it and I found a guy on youtube that said you hadve to press a code in the windows settings so i did that and i had media center but my windows version vcanged to PRO and was not activated so I used Microsoft toolkit auto KMS to activate since i didnt had an recovery point and had no idea hw to undo this. So i have a legal windows 8 dvd and license but an non genuine 8 Pro for the media center i dont use anymore ive tried pc refresh but that didn't work

Can someone PLEASE help me

Reinstall from your DVD and get back to 8.1 core. There are free alternatives to Windows Media Centre.

Can i also just factory reset using the windows recovery?/ will the activation work then?

You could, but in this case I'd recommend installing from the DVD anyway. Unless you have an EFI PC or have created a recovery partition yourself, you will need your DVD.

Yes, if you have a genuine key. You might need to call Microsoft to activate it though.
