Not sure if this is the right forum, but...

I was just wandering if there is a tool that you can deploy to a remote computer (say, in a technical support scenario) that logs the system information and sends it back by email.

I googled it, but I never found anything.

Thanks

Windows has a built in profiler tool called MSInfo32.exe... You can save to an nfo file or export as a text file and email it. Generally you have the remote client run the app, save the profile, and email it to you. While this method involves more intervention on the part of the client it's generally easier to get someone to run a program they already have built in to Windows than it is to get them to download one and run it especially where trust may be a factor.

As for tools that do the profiling and then email the results: LookInMyPC comes to mind.

I tried LookInMyPC but it doesn't work if the client doesn't have a email program installed... Are there any other programs like it that I could use? This isn't necessarily a problem, but there always is the chance that the client won't have an email program. KDwKkVX.png

Getting someone to give it to you the speecy link over the phone... :D

I am looking for a way for someone to click on a file, and it does it all automatically. I wrote a batch file, but the report just doesn't get generated for some reason.

It also doesn't have enough information about the software. I have a program that works now, and I will put it on GitHub.
