Okay so with the announcement of fallout 4 I figured it would be fun to play fallout again. Ive only played 3 when it launched with no dlc on 360 and never touched nv. I dont mind playing either one but curious which one has the best realism mods out there for it.

both are equally good in that department. however new vegas is way less stable with mods for me then f3. i mean i have a 50% chance of it crashing on start up with no mods and clean install :D

Haha that is what ive heard, ill probably just have to end up going with 3 since nv is so unstable. Are there any like overhaul packs you recommend or just a bunch of little things?

No NV is not as unstable as it used to be. I have NV with a some mods and very rarely it crashes.

Also beware running F3 on 7 or 8 because you might need to some hacks for it to run alright.

Get both of them because there is a mod called "Tale of two wastelands" which combines F3 and NV so you can play both by just going to a certain point in both maps and change between F3 and NV maps.

id reccommend texture mods,

an enb of your preference

a mod to make the skys clear rather then the constant brown.

the realism mods for sleeping eating etc

just use the nexus, to find the versions of these you like

Im really not worried about graphics mods, when i say realism im talking about things that add survival mechanics and crafting mechanics. Things that change enemy ai to make them for realistic and shit.

Believe me you want the texture pack at least, the defaults are really bad and muddy,
