Those who've read my old posts have known that I've been more than a little confused as to where I should head in terms of a career and major.

Since my last post, I got a administrative Assistant job with some technical responsibilities like scripting and coding. Problem is I work for a small company with no ability to move up, nor are they willing to hire another IT guy.

I've also taken a break from school since then. Probably one of my worst choices that people warned me about. Now I'm stuck in a full time job where it's harder to attend classes because they're all in the daytime.

I've been thinking about either going back for Computer Science or Information Technology. Since I don't like programming much, (although I do love doing it for myself or in small bursts) I've settled on an IT degree.

The program has three different tracks. I'm thinking about either the sys admin track or networking. What's the most employable right now? I'm leaning on the networking side since big data is huge right now, maybe landing something at a data center but not sure.

Tl; Dr

I'm trying to decide between a system admin track or a networking track for my major. Don't know which is more marketable or likely to get me a good paying job (50k at least).

Thanks for the help!

there's also this path called Software Tester

the name speaks of itself, testing software based on categories of functional and non-functional

but its a little strict though because you will be glued to the ISO

you got to play with people software finding bugs and defects though

But software Tester is boring. Me and my friend are indie devs and his day job is software tester. He says it as boring as stocking shelves.

Yeah QAs need to have a really good attention to detail as well and when it comes to code, that's not my strong suit.

Well software tester you get a list of thing to test  (like jump of a cliff 500 times, did you enter dead state y/n; move five unit left and jump off 500 more times) it's just very repetitive.
