Are these good headphones (Mass Drop)

PlayModeOn

Hello Audiophiles,

I found two interesting headphones at Mass Drop for 50+% off. Are they any good? I am not that familiar with shopping headphones but these are more than 50% off so I became interested. Here are the headphones in mind.

What do you guys think? I do like headphones that has a wide range in frequency than the typical 20-20,000 so these headphones would be an instant buy from me, but what do you think?

Thanks!

PS. I currently use a Sennheiser HD439 which was $90-100 Australian dollars. These headphones are almost half as much (and in Australian dollars too). Shipping fee is not that big of a deal on the first link ($6). But the 2nd link I have to pay $14 to ship unfortunately. I like to use headphones for gaming and music pleasure.

EDIT: Oh and the 2nd link has a soundcard included I think.

that second link is a pretty sweet deal.

Hello. Thanks for the reply.

The amp is actually not included but an extra for $32, is that worth getting?

I would be skeptical of these headphone being an upgrade over the 439. You may prefer the sound signature more; the 439 is more bass-oriented at the expense of treble.

Oh ok. If I were to upgrade from HD439, should I get a ATH-M40X? I know the HD439 is bass oriented, but I do prefer clarity over deep bass. The HD439 was simply a replacement to my Siberia V2 which broke. But the Siberia V2 had a good sound clarity despite being a "gamery" headset.

There is a PC shop near me that sells many kind of headphones.

at that point, I don't know as I've never used the headphones so I cannot personally attest to the quality.

The first link is 25% off Amazon price. I don't trust Massdrop's savings numbers, I always check them myself. I remember looking at a Unicomp keyboard and figuring out that the savings were actually $2 off a $90 keyboard while everybody's like 'OMG It's Massdrop, must be a killer deal'. >.>

You might wanna look into open headphones too, if massive bass is not the number one thing for you. The increase in soundstage is great. Maybe try to get some used HD 558s or 518s?

Oh and I prefer closed headphones xD because of noise isolation and the sound is slightly more vibrant if closed. But not a big deal, open is fine for me.

But yea I might look into Senheisser 500 series, thanks for the suggestions.
