New Graphics Card Troubles
My Gigabyte R9 280 just arrived. It works fine and everything, but there are two problems. I've been using the integrated graphics in my A10-5800K for the past few months while I was saving for a GPU. I installed the drivers from here: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4991#sp
1. There are one inch black bars on all sides of my monitor in all applications, including the desktop. It wasn't there before. So my 24 inch screen has turned into a 22 inch. I checked that the resolution is set to 1920x1080, just like it was before when I used the iGPU.
2. The fans run at 100% at all times, and the noise is driving me crazy.
When I disable the graphics driver in device manager, the fan problem stops, but frame rates drop to 4 FPS in the game launcher
1. right click on wallpaper/desktop. amd catalyst center then go to my digital flat-panels, then go to scaling options and set it to 0 to remove the black bars.
had it on my r9 280 too
