So, I finally decided to stop ruining my health and get a decent pair of headphones I'll probally be able to use for a long, long time. I like the idea of open-cup design and I was told surround is kinda pointless on headphones (makes all the sense w/ speakers).

So what I decided to go for is Sennheiser HD 558. It lacks the mic I'd actually like to have but when using desktop I can get a dedicated mic and when using laptop I'll just use laptop's mic.

Even though you'll probally say "what's not to like about 558s?" I'll ask for the last time, what you guys think about it?
And the second, harder question, where can a Slovenian get one of these for cca. 120€?

Oh yeah and it probally really is, for the sake of my own health, better than the pathetic in-ear headphones right? It isn't just an excuse I made up so I can waste 120€?

In-ears don't have any negative health effects if you don't listen to music too loud, same thing applies to any headphones.

558's are good.

The hd 558 are fantastic headphone i bought my pair around 2 years ago i still have no plan on replacing it. They sound great and are really comfortable with the large ear cup the only thing that i don't like about them it's that the cord is too long for me but that's it.

They retail for ~€150 so €120 is not happening unless you buy a used pair.

129 on german amazon with no sale and I can find ones in my local store for 126 eur.

I have them and I can't complain. There is one single thing that could be better (better said stronger) and that is bass. It is not bad though. I still listen to a lot of bass heavy music and I enjoy it. I really love the clean sound of these headphones. But I never owned any audiophile headphones before so I can't compare but it sure sounds a LOT better than anything I had before.

Comfort of these headphones is also top notch.

They're a fantastic pair of headphones, I myself went for the HD 598 but they're pretty much the same headset except for a small difference.

You won't regret buying them, though I'm not too sure if you can get them for the price you'd want, at least not new.

558's are great headphones, and are honestly in the running for best headphones you can get that are <$300. To address your issue of a mic though, look up AntLion's ModMic, it's what I use with my 558's and it is a great solution.

As far as price, I am in the US so I can't help you there.
