So I replaced most of my case fans with Cougar Hydraulic-Bearing Ultra Silent fans, turned my hyper 212 down to 40% in my HAF 932.  I keep my GPU overclocked but the fan curve really low under 70*C.  So now everything is silence optimized, it's JUST as loud as before.  Turns out this entire time 90% of the noise was the power supply.  It's a CM GX 650, it's not like a bearing going bad, just the fan is moving at high RPM.  I feel the air coming out and it's not very warm.  So is the XFX 850/AX 850 are they pretty quiet?  I am overclocking my I7-2600K to 4.5Ghz and my HD 7950 to 1050/1450.

Specs: Core I7-2600K @ 4.5GHz @ 1.35V, 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance Black 1600MHz CL9, Cooler Master Evo 212, MSI Z77 Mpower Motherboard, Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X @ 1000/1400, Cooler Master HAF 932 Blue Edition w/ 3 Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 120MM fans (2 up top 1 in the bottom) replaced side panel with a window, and rear fan with a Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 140MM, Cooler Master GX 650 80+ Bronze PSU, Samsung DVD-RW, Samsung 840 Pro 128GB SSD, Seagate 750GB SATA III 7200RPM

Getting a 850W power supply for your build is overkill unless you're going Crossfire. I have a Seasonic G series 550W and it's very quiet and its semi modular with nice ribbon cables.

CPU: Intel core i5 3570 Motherboard: Gigabyte-H77-DS3H Case: Fractal Design Define R4 Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB  GPU: MSI Radeon HD 7950 Twin Frozr III Cooler: CM Hyper 212 Evo RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB  PSU: Seasonic G Series 550W

Clean the dust out with a compressor or a can of air.

Dust out of the psu should lower the temps intern lower fan rpms and less noice.

Going to be building a loop and running Xfire HD 9xxx series pretty soon.

Ahh ok that would make more sense. Still I would go with a Seasonic power supply because they are pretty amazing.

yeah i know they are OEMs of seasonic but why not just get seasonic? Unless you want matching brands.
