So, I got BioShock 1 a while ago. I wanted to play BioSchock Infinite, but I didnt want to just jump into the series. I played it for a while, quit, and then Im trying to get back into it. The reason I quit before is because the game is so damn hard. I dont know if it is just me, and I dont know what Im doing, or if the game really is this hard. Dont get me wrong, I like a challenge. It seems like i am constantly running out of ammo, then I just ended running from the enemy just for them to catch up to me and kill me. Am I doing something wrong?

While it is harder than your average modern war shooter, it's by no means a hard game on the normal difficulty.

Are you remembering to loot corpses, cash registers, trash cans etc.? That way you can get ammo and money to buy ammo.

I will also recommend you to hack the vending machines, since that will make the ammo cheaper.

You can also play Bioshock Infinite without playing Bioshock 1. But if want to play Burial at Sea, then I would recommend playing Bioshock 1 first.

Bioshock 1 was easy as pie once you learn to actually make use of electric shocking things, hitting hard, then hiding. A lot of it is as simple as playing ring-around-the-rosie for an easy win. If you just come strait on and go for the kill that way, you'll insta-lose to your first Big Daddy.

It's better than infinite, so maybe you should play that first so you aren't as let down!

Is not hard, but I think your problem is related to the low FoV the game has.

A low FoV can make enemies hard to track and shoot, it also doesn't let you see where are you going if your brain doesn't have enough peripheral information about the game's environment.

That being said, you can just jump to Infinite, even though Bioshock 1 is better.

There's been lots of ramblings about games becoming progressively easier over the years. It's commonly compared to games as old as the original Marios bit can still apply to something like bioshock. I don't remember having a huge problem but it's worth the play anyways.

It is a difficult game, but not impossible. Just remember to loot EVERYTHING, explore everywhere, and don't be afraid to use your plasmids.

Aside from that, you don't have to play BioShock 1 and 2 in order for Infinite to make sense, as the Infinite story line is not dependent on the first two games. There are some references to the first couple games if you really explore the world of Infinite, but it's not like you're going to be lost if you just play Infinite. That being said, I think the first two games are awesome and totally worth the time if you pay attention to the story.

END OF LINE
