Case sizes

DrunkDwarf

This is probably a dumb as shit question, but I'll do it anyways.

I've been looking into building my first PC lately and... Well, I'm afraid of getting a too small (or too big) case.

Is there any decent way to tell if your parts will fit or not without trial and error?

90% of GOOD case manufacturer's will have charts and info on their wbesites, showing GPU and PSU clearances.

Theres hardly a cooler that will not fit in most decent cases nowadays.

Unless you are going with SFF (Small Form factor) stuff, most is pretty standard and easy. Also, feel free to post your build using pcpartpicker on this forum to get some feedback :)

Assure your parts are ATX, mATX, Mini-ITX, etc compatible. Also if you have a long GPU look for the max card length in the specs of the case.

Hehe, sounds great! Not into the too tiny things, so I guess I'm safe!

Thank you!

PcPartpicker will tell you if there is an incompatibility with your system, like the infamously tall Hyper 212 Evo, or respectably long Gigabyte Windforce cooler not fitting with your case.
