I was just wondering if I can use regular spray paint to paint my side panels, or do I need to get a special kind of paint?

You can as long as it's the appropriate metal paint, and properly prep the surface by scuffing it with scotch brite pads or fine grit sandpaper and cleaning before painting. If you want extra durability something like an enamel will provide better wear.

Sand it down and use spray paint for metal. I'd advise against using Plasti-Dip, real paint is much more durable and gives a much better end result.

Thanks!
