pci-express 3.0

Hi all..i recently just notice my gpu not running using pci-e 3.0. Gpu-z show i running at 1.1. AMD Catalyst show running at 2.0. what the problem? or my pc cant handle pcie-3.0? i already put at correct pcie slot.

 

intel i3 3220

p8z77-v lx (bios 0610)

windows 8 pro 64bit

8gb ram

pci-e Gen 3 rev 1.1. Does that explain it to you..

See that ? mark in GPU-Z next to the Bus Interface box? Click that and run the render test. You should see what your real speed is. It's a power saving feature.

Your CPU only supports PCIe 2.0. Intel decided the i3s don't get PCIe 3.0 because. . .

i click the render test it change to  x16 2.0. So just like Lavi said, my i3 cant handle pcie 3.0?

i3-3220 only support PCIe 2.0.

 

It doesn't matter though, the fastest graphics cards have not yet maxed out PCIe 1.1
