Pentium G3258 on a server ?

Hey .. is the pentium gonna work on a home server ??

 

( it will be an FTP server and it will also host a minecraft server 10 people max )

It will work, but an i3 like the 4130 will be better cause of hyperthreading.

I'd recommend something with a bit more power - a low TPD i3 or i5 would have some healthy headroom.

If you don't want to use it in another build, then yes. You can sell it on Ebay.
