Hi guys,

How do you guys think this tablet will fair?

i3 CPU (Not sure model)

12 inch HD (2150x1440)

4GB Ram

64GB storage (37GB available)

W8.1 Pro

Comes with Surface Pen

I really want one of these but they are pricey....the high end S3 is $600 without pen making it $650 with pen. The low end SP3 is $800 with pen. I am also considering some of the i5 versions, which would run $900-$1,170 are the lowest prices I could find with a 10% discount. Amazon has some prices just a bit lower (like $50) but not sold from amazon & I'm not sure if best buy would price match on a dealer that isn't specifically amazon. I'm just a little worried about the 37GB of space and the i3. I have a desktop for gaming & I'm not doing anything super tasking.

My uses: I want to be able to hold my entire iTunes library (about 2.5k songs), run some desktop applications like Cisco packet tracer and some networking simulators, along with some other miscellaneous desktop applications but no gaming or video editing. I want to watch Netflix/Hulu on this as well, browse the internet, and use it for school applications like Microsoft word/One note.

Will this one cut it? I want it to be fast!

I'm considering it. Like I said in the original post the S3 4GB model with pen (sold separately) is $650. Compared to $800 for the i3 version 4GB (WITH pen) but only about 37GB storage. I'm not worried about $150 bucks that much, and for an i3 (probably much better than the atom?) and the larger screen it seemed worth it to go minimum with the i3 version...
