Does Inputmapper have to be running while playing games?

I want to use my PS4 Controller on games and I'm wondering if Input mapper has to run in the background while Gaming

Yes, it has to be running or your controller will disconnect

 

It does say that when you go to close it,.

Any Ideas?

I believe you have to physically take the led out if you don't want it.

No no, it's in input mapper, pick the colour, brightness, on off, notifications for battery level and more

Go to the second tab "profiles"

Edit the default profile go to the second tab over on the menu screen, disable the light
