hey guys, this is my first post on the forum, so i'll cut to the chase

a few months ago my brother bought a PC second hand for $110

it has an AMD phenom II quad core CPU

8GB RAM

650W modular PSU

and an antec P183

it didn't come with a graphics card, but he wants to get something

cheap that's a bit old but still usable, would a GTX 280 still be good for gaming in 2015?

he mostly just wants to play Gmod and BF4 but would like to play some newer games

(I know that the witcher would be out of the question)

if not, what would you guys recommend?

maybe bite the bullet and pay a bit more to get a 560ti?

560 TIs go for around $90 here in Australia

and 280s are around $25

help!

480 can be had for $100, a 670 for around $150. I would think a 670 has more power than a 750ti
