GTX 750Ti, R9 270X or other?

Hi, I'm a first time builder, wanting to build something with enough power to do some good gaming, but I don't know what graphics card to choose.

I dont want to spend much more than the price of a GTX 750Ti or R9 270X, and just want a card which offers great 'bang for the buck'.

Which one should I choose, or is there a better option for a similar or lower cost?

An r9 270. A 270x is nothing more than an overclocked 270

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please聽馃え

If you are only talking about these two cards the 270X blows the 750Ti out of the water in terms of power.

I would also go 270x however if you don't want to ad pci-e power to the card + lower temps than 750 ti (good for mini-ITX builds)

Why get a 280x if you can just spend $10 more and get a 290 which has more performance? (ignore the deal on ebay). Sorry op, know this wasn't an answer to your question.

Not true. The x has a few more cores. Not many, but some.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

Just did. I was mistaken. Sorry.

I may have been looking at GFLOPs instead of cores at the time I was considering buying one.

Good plan!

Or try used cards. Search for a good 280X or 290/X (make sure it is non-reference tho: they get damn hot!)

If buying used, make sure it hasnt been used for mining or the BIOS hasn't been hacked, then you should be good !
