Killer Lightning

Wingfan

My rig  is over kill for what i need, but new hardware and building is a lot of fun and a great hobby. The core of this build, the i7, was bought September 2014 and will be my CPU for at least 2-3 more years.

I chose the Air 240 because it's small but still has enough room for my Lightning (barely), H105, and RM1000. Building in this case wasnt to bad and its layed out very nicely.

Also replaced my MOBO with an ASRock Z97M. I have owned a Z77 Extreme 6 and was very impressed with it (with a 3570K)OC nicely and the UEFI was basic and layed out very good. Wasnt very happy with the MSI Z97M Gaming, couldnt hold a stable OC above 4.6Ghz for more than 20 min of AIDA 64 and the UEFI was layed out very poorly.

The 290X Lightning will be replaced in a few months, waiting to see what the new 390x and 980Ti are going to perform.

Specs and pics in my profile.

Impressive build. What are the temps like on that gpu?

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI

Why you shouldn't trust Gpu or Cpu boss Click on this I dare you!

Temps are pretty good. GTA V it gets to 70c but barely hear the fans. This cooler is pretty 'beefy' :)
