Final checkup -- NEED MOBO

Ok so I got the money I need for my parts

- i7 4790K

- Cooler Master Seidon 120v rev 2

 

for the mobo I'm not sure yet, I'm looking at

- MSI Z97 PC Mate (€ 104)

OR

- Gigabyte Z97x Gaming 3 (€123)

 

I won't do any big OC since the CPU is already running at 4.0Ghz and 4.4Turbo. I might consider going to 4.6ish.

I won't be using an m2 SSD nor crossfire. I'll be doing gaming BUT also schoolwork (IT-student, I need multiple VM's running etc)

 

Which of the 2 mobo's will be the better option? If I can save money, I WILL , that money will be used to buy an SSD at Xmas.

If you can get a corsair h50/55 quiet edition instead of the 120v, it will be worth it. The 120v has bad mounting and has an annoyingly audible pump (for those of us with sensitive hearing).

The Corsair H55 is € 30 more expensive and I thought they had fixed the mounting thing with the rev 2? the Rev 2 has a better pump etc. I don't care about the pump noise tbh

but the chechup was more for the mobo tho.

Side note: I got a € 15 Zalman CNPS5X performa air cooler on my X6 1055T @ 3.2Ghz and it's keeping it cool at 30°C idle (cold room) so I assume the 120v rev 2 will get the intel at about 20-25°C
