ASUS ROG Swift heating issues?

Don't know if this is just an intentional thing or if I'm actually having an issue but my ROG Swift is incredibly hot. My setup involves my mouse arm going beside it, and it kinda burns just to graze the bottom bezel with my arm or hand by accident. It's only the bottom bezel strangely, and I have no other issues with it besides, but is this really how it was designed? 

EDIT: I don't have a thermometer on hand to check, but I'm assuming it's around the 90-110°F range by feeling. 

EDIT 2: I've had it since around March, and it's given me no trouble other than that. Honestly I'm just asking as a preventative measure, as I doubt a monitor that gets this hot will last very long.

I don't have a ROG Swift so i can't comment on that one, but my Benq monitor is 144hz and it doesn't get hot at all.  I would contact ASUS support and ask them.

Monitors do tend to become slightly warm to the touch in certain areas of the panel, but not as you describe.

 

@Lays owns a Swift; maybe he can shed some light on this.

I've had mine since December. Mine has been on for 6 hours now and it is not hot at all. Less heat than the ACER p243w I had.

I don't have a swift but I do have a BenQ XL2730Z which is basically the freesync version of the swift and it does not produce any noticeable heat.

The bottom right hand corner of my swifts bezel gets sorta hot, nothing to be concerned about.

90-110f as you're describing is really not very hot, most electronics can survive much hotter temperatures without issues.

90f is room temperature in some countries..

the coldest your monitor will be is ambient. so it's always going to be warmer when it's on.

and "burns just to graze it" erm.. 30c wouldn't even burn an ice cube lol.. are your arms made of butter!?!?!

my aquariums a similar temp lol and things live in there...

get back to use when it's 170f and a temperature of actual concern..
