Hi guys,

I am getting my first really gaming pc. I am looking to play all recent titlesat least at around 50-60 fps, no overclocking.

From where I am from everything is much more expensive than the US, but I am looking at 2 options:

First one is a used pc (about a year):

- Mbo: GA-990FXA-UD3

- CPU: AMD FX-8350 X8 4.0 Ghz

- GPU: Nvidia GTX 770 (Asus CUDA version)

- RAM: Hyper x fury 1866mhz (4BG) x2

- HDD: Sandisk SD 128G

- HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST 500 GB

- PS:    ERP 750-SM, 750 W

- Cooler Master HAF XM, RC-922XM-KKN1

- Cooler Master Seidon 240M Waterblock

Second one, I would get it NEW:

- Mbo: ASUS M-ATX H81M

- CPU: Intel i7 4790 3.6 Ghz

- GPU: Nvidia GTX 960 (Or something similar - not sure if I have enough money to actually get this one)

- RAM: 1600 mhz (4BG) (No idea what brand)

- HDD: 1 TB 7200 RPM, ST31000340NS

- PS:    Sentey 725-SM, 725 W

- Clio 5830BK (very cheap, no idea how it performs)

So, I have many questions:

- First option looks more complete, but do I really need a fancy case and watercooling if I am not going to Over clock it? (I'm def not gonna OC it)

- I know an I7 might be more than I need, if I change it to an Intel i5, can I make better use of that money and make something more with the second option?

Which one would you go for?

thanks in advance guys!

get the i5 4460. Under 200 bucks and will perform awesomelly. For a PSU check The Corsair CX500, they are reliable and quality products. I think they are going to make solid choices. For the GPU, don't go for the 960. I feel like the R9 280x is way better. Those should be good to stay within your budget. Consider buying an 120gb Kingston v300 SSD, they are super cheap and they are miles ahead of mechanical hdd's.

In terms of CPU, an 8 core AMD against an i5 4460, or even a 4440 is pretty much at the same price here.

Could you guys tell me why the first choice for the most is an i5 against these AMDs, or give me some links to articles or videos to learn about the differences?

Thank you all for your help! :)

Last questions...

I made some reasearch on what I can get in my country for my budget with an i5.

I found the following (used):

CPU: i5 4590 3.3 Ghz
Mbo: MSI H87M-G43
RAM: Kingston 4GB x 2, 1600mhz
HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1 TB
PSU: Antec VP630F 630W (tier 3)
Case: Cooler master storm scout 2 advanced (4 fans)
DVD-RW Asus

And have around $300 for the GPU.

My question is, if I wanted to get a GTX 970, will the mother board and PSU be enough to handle it?

Also, if I only get the GTX 960, performance in current game would decrease considerably?

The motherboard will be fine, the VPF is made by Delta and is far from the best of it's range, but is a solid PSU, better than the Corsair CX. The VP is the one not to touch

Not really, they are generally overpriced when on rebates and aren't quality products compared to similarly priced/cheaper XFX TS, Antec Basiq (Seasonic), SS-ET/ES 600 and so on

i5 4670k - Z87X-UD3H - EVGA GTX 670 Sig 2 - Samsung 840 Evo 250GB - 8GB Avexir Core White 1600Mhz - Corsair 750D w/ RGB LED Mod & Remote Control - 2x SP120 - 3x Enermax Cluster - 2TB Seagate SSHD - Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 - SuperFlower Leadex Gold 750W
