You can, but I wouldn't suggest using it as a primary OS. (at least not until the consumer version is released)

I'm using it as my main OS, latest build i'm having problems copying files just doesn't transferring lots of folders in explorer

If your computer can run Windows 7 or 8, it can run Windows 10.

If you have any sort of special peripherals or add-on card, then you need to check with the manufacture, but usually Windows 8 drivers should work in Windows 10. At worst you need to run the driver setup as Windows 7/8 to by -pass the OS check the setup may have.

Windows 10 is near the end of development. I expect 1-2 more build before official release.

Microsoft right is in full speed in app development, and polishing the interface, and fix remaining final bugs in the new start menu and such. Core stuff should be done.
