Do you want wifi AC or just bgn? and personaly I like powerline compared to wifi. i think it is more reliable and delivers a faster speed(in my experience). as a cheaper option I have had a good experience with the TP-link WR1043ND I has taken a serious beating at our lanpartys. But you will need to replace the powersupply/transformer because I fried mine with in hours and it almost set it self on fire. But the router is fine. gigabit with a decent to great wifi range and USB

whats the different between ac and bgn

I updated the video... but wifi ac is a new ish standard with a shorter range but faster speeds. compared to the other-standards wif ac only works with devices that work on the 5G range. but wifi AC routers will also have the 2.4G range or bgn and all devices would all work on that standard. Make sense?

i just want one that works well can have about 6 devices on (rarely) and can use wireless and etherent with good range, could you list some good ones?

Have you got another OpenReach modem before your router? Should be a white square box and has the openreach modem on top?

Yeah cool, should be a HG612.

I would flash and unlock the firmware on it to get better more reliable speeds and take advantage of G.INP. I've done this and internet is so much more reliable and slightly faster but much more consistant speeds too.

But onto the main problem, by another router, then use the router to dial the connection through the OpenReach HG612 using PPPoE.

What's the model number of your white modem? Should be a ECI or Huawei, but can you post a picture of the label on the bottom or the part number?

Out of interest why do you need to restart your HH3 is it the internet that drops from it or you can't connect to the WiFi?
