Once and a while I delete backups and redo them because they just get larger and larger, way past the size of the drive getting backed up. Not only that but it rarely has a backup without any errors. The most recent error was "the system cannot find the path specified." I just tried doing a backup and it's not working right. I'm trying to backup my SSD on my HDD. The SSD is a 240gb drive, with 135gb being used. As for the backup settings, I chose "Let Windows choose" for what I want to backup and in the list it shows it will backup "All users" and "System image." Well, after the backup is complete, the one backup is about 21gb

And there's a folder "WindowsImageBackup" and it's about 336gb. How did "WindowsImageBackup" get to be about 336gb when the drive being backed up only has 240gb total space?

Don't use Windows Backup.

Use Macrium Reflect (it has a full free edition)

Macrium Reflect's free version does not backup files and folders. What's the point?
