Overclocking my FX-4300

So I want to overclock my processor just to get more performance out of it, how high clocks and voltages could  fx-4300 reach AND is there a program which could tell me how much power are my components using? :D I am pretty sure that my cooler is enough to cool it (Phanteks ph-tc14pe with 2 fan setup). My motherboard is something worse than 50€ mobos since its bios doesn't have anything about overclocking so i am just using amd overdrive. Does it make a difference if I use motherboard overclocking or software overclocking?
