So It was my birthday a few days back, and I wanted to upgrade my gpu, power supply. Right now I have a R9 200 series gpu with a 400 power supply and a micro atx mother board  but now  I want to start playing games other than csgo but csgo will still be my main game. I know that I will need to upgrade my power supply if I get a new graphics card but Im not really sure which is a good/ cheap one to get.

I think I know which case Im getting its between these two :

I was thinking of getting a Gtx 960 because my price range is around £160 to £180 but im not really sure as I will need to buy a power supply as well.

I was just seeing if any one could help me out a little as I dont really know much about pcs. Thanks (:

960 will run on 400w just fine.

r9 280 is okay, but that would be close on 400w, so in your situation 960 makes sense.

What R9 200 series card do you have because if it's a 280 you will see no performance increase going to a 960.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI

Why you shouldn't trust Gpu or Cpu boss Click on this I dare you!

The r9 270

Really I would keep your 270 at the moment and thenwhen you have a enough money upgrade to a 970 or a new amd 300 series card.

Do you know a good 960 to get in my price range?

upgrading from r9 270 to 960 will not be that big of a difference... Have you overclocked r9 270?

You should overclock the 270. Its basically free performance. And like others say, you should hold on to the 270 for a bit longer before upgrading.

upgrading r7 265 makes more sense.

Yeah I thought it did because I have had a few things happening like a black box on my screen which happens when I have too many things open, so I was wondering If I should get the 960 and a new case.

That's not a good thing that a black box is appearing on your screen. It then be a good idea to upgrade to a 960. I'd recommend the s340 over the pandora as the pandora is pretty narrow and may be more difficult to build in.

Which 960s are in your price range. Truthfully, they will all perform relatively the the same since they are all 960s. Higher tiered versions of the card such as a FTW edition/SC edition or MSI Gaming edition will usually have a higher out of the box clock speed and may have a better chance of overclocking.

The EVGA SSC ACX 2.0 GTX 960 has the highest clock speed that's within your price range.
