XMP? What is it, should I use it? and can I use it?

Hello I was just scrolling through my bios a bit and I noticed the XMP option. I`ve heard the name several times before, but never really knew what it was. So I am wondering what does it do and can I or should I enable it? I am currently using 2x16gb Corsair Dominator ram at 1886mhz

I did not google it actually, I got a really wierd mindset today, but anyways I just wanted to check if I should leave it on or not. Thanks for the help though.
