I just bought this GTX 460 , i got a 500W PSU that i dont know wht model is it or anything about it i just know it's 500W

I see on forums ppl talking about 12v lines and amps and that made me confused cauz i dont know what is that( Is it really important?)

I m ganna buy a molex>pcie 6 pin convertor tomorrow so i test this card, i really need to know if the amps and 12v line is important or it's just about how many watts the graphic card need?

Someone on other forum told me it's not enouf (I'm guessing you made a typo on the +12V rating... it can't be 2.0 amps, I think it might be 20.0 amps? Anyway, that's still too low, you'd need to replace it.

It's often a dead giveaway when a power supply doesn't have any 6-pin connector for graphics cards in the first place, that it doesn't have enough +12V amps for cards that need a dedicated connector. Sometimes a molex->6-pin adapter will do the trick, but usually not.

Also, I'm pretty sure the GTX 460 requires TWO 6-pin connectors, not just one! So you'll want a power supply that provides two connectors (like the ones I've linked below):)

And few others told me it ll work fine i m really confused and i dont really have much $$ left to buy a new PSU ;C
