I have a 22 minute long, 238MB file. but I only need to get 10 minutes of it. So I tried cutting the video (without the help of pro tools) but so far, all is not good. Here are all the trimming/video converter (with their respective trim function) software that I already tried

Aimersoft Video Converter Ultimate - gives me the file I want at the right size (around 100MB) but always trims at the wrong time. (i.e. I set the trim at 1:06, it starts the video at 1:00, giving me 6 seconds of waste)

Freemake video converter - gives me the file completely, at the cost of a watermark at the end of the video, also the trimmed file size if bigger than the original untrimmed file size by about 50%

Avidemux - I have no idea how this works

VideoPad Media Editor - same as freemake, but no watermark

YTD Video Converter - 360p? really?

Sony Vegas 11 - same as Aimersoft but the file size is the same as freemake's

Is there any other video trimmer that:

-retains the video/audio quality of the original file,

-file size not bigger than its original untrimmed file

-doesn't start at the wrong time

so... anyone's got an idea

PS: I dunno about Windows Live Movie Maker... haven't tried it yet, is it effective?

-snip-

Use Windows Movie Maker.

If you only want to trim it up, go for that.

will it not affect the quality of the file?

You can make a custom render setting, just put in the correct res and a high bitrate and it wont really degrade the quality
